Monsters vs Aliens
2009 – Family & Kids, Sci-Fi & Fantasy, Action – PG
The Plot:
When human-hating aliens disrupt earthbound cable-television signals, it’s up to a monster-hunting superhero to take out the pesky extraterrestrials and ensure that television viewers are not deprived in this animated adaptation of the popular comic-book series. The DreamWorks Animation release is being helmed by Shrek 2 director Conrad Vernon and Shark Tale’s Rob Letterman. ~ Jason Buchanan, All Movie Guide
The Good:
Totally not what we expected from this movie, but we loved it, at least the first one hundred times that we’ve watched it. Unfortunately, Ariana just adores this movie and is always wanting to watch it again and frankly, we’re getting tired of it, despite the stellar cast. Reese Witherspoon (Susan/Gianormica), Seth Rogan (Bob), Paul Rudd (Derek).
The Bad:
It was a cute movie, can’t really think of anything we complained about.
The Recommendation:
Definitely a must see for households with kids, but hopefully you won’t get stuck watching it over and over again like we have.

Have you seen Aliens in the Attic yet ? Another one we not sure of and loved it. The kids had a blast with it……….. We also loved Monsters and Aliens.
Yeah, we’ve seen the Aliens in the Attic – it was pretty good, although quite different from what we expected. The review for it is probably either on my phone still (That’s where I type them up) of I totally forgot about it, or we watched it in September – the month that got lost.
Here are a few movies every year that ditch this rule, often constrained-release films that start in just a few theaters and actually increase their theater count through good word-of-mouth and critiques.
I like Shrek movies, awesome animation.
