Looking For Love

Looking For Love

Mom and Dad,

You promised to find me a good home, and you did. Don’t worry mom, dad and the boys, it’s much better here than I thought it would be at first.

At first all I wanted to do was sit by the door and wait for you to come back. I missed you mom and dad for the first hour, I stuck close to Miss Haley though and she kept rubbing me and telling me what a good boy I am. I laid under her desk and kept her feet warm for her, she seemed to like that, I left lots of wet nose prints up her legs too, but she didn’t seem to mind. But now I’m starting to check out my new digs. Miss Haley has been nice to me, and tells me that I’ll soon be meeting the rest of the family. I sure hope they’ll like me.

Jack, Lewy and Snow have barked at me a lot and scared me, but they’re starting to calm down now too. I think maybe given a little more time we can be friends! Jack wants me to play, but I don’t really like the way he plays. I think he plays too rough for such a tiny dog. Lewy hasn’t warmed up to me as much, but Miss Haley says to give him time and he’ll come around. He doesn’t bark as much as the others, but he keeps smelling me a lot. Woobie hides from me, probably because he’s so much smaller than me. I pretty much ignore him too.

I’m doing fine and I think I’m going to like it here, at least until they find a good permanent home for me. I just wish Miss Haley would stop flashing the bright light in my eyes, she’s always taking pictures, but I showed her, every time she gets that little silver thing out, I turn around and look away.

I’ll keep you updated on how I’m doing. Miss you much!

Love Bear

Yes, we’re foster parents again, and it’s a boy this time! Can you open your home and heart to this little fella?

Take Me Home?

Take Me Home?

Bear is a Beagle/Lab/Collie/Aussie mix, his birthday is November 24, 2007, so he’s just over 10 months old. He’s very gentle, laid back and friendly, much less excitable than our other dogs. He’s housebroken, crate trained and knows a few tricks, that he’s always willing to show off for a treat. (Hmm… Too bad people aren’t as food motived as dogs, I might actually get my kids to clean up their rooms if they were!) He seems very good with people, as he took right to me (well, he didn’t really have a choice). And he’s looking for love! He’s also looking for a good home (He comes equipped with his own crate, leashes, toys, brush and bowls.), and staying with us as he does. If you, or anyone you know, might be interested in meeting Bear, and finding out if you’re the right family for him, give me a shout (haley@digital-memories.ws) and we’ll set up a time.

Hi – I just voted in Care2.com’s “America’s Favorite Animal Shelter” contest to help my favorite local group, Humane Society of Westmoreland County, win a grand prize of $10,000. Think of the homeless pets we could save with $10,000! But I need your help to get enough votes to help Humane Society of Westmoreland County win.
