Dog Crazy

[singlepic=3690,320,240,,left]Dogs for sale? Ours will be soon if they don’t stop acting up!

I know that the past months have been as rough on them as they have been on us, but I don’t go around peeing on everything because of it! We haven’t even been in two weeks yet, and already I need to scrub carpets.

I know it’s a male dog thing, the wanting to “mark their territory” but do they have to do it everyday, in the same spots? It’s driving me crazy, and Russ doesn’t help any because he yells at me every time they do it. I’d love to just be able to rub his nose it in!

So how to get them to stop? Everyone tells me to get them fixed, as Jack and Woobie aren’t neutered yet. But Lewy is and he still does it, although Woobie is the worst, he doesn’t even wait until you’re not looking, he just pees everywhere.

It’s always been an issue when we bring new things into the house, such as shopping bags or anything that we might bring home and set on the floor. But now it’s getting to the point of ridiculous, I don’t think there is a spot in the house that they have marked at least twice!

I read and read information on how to stop this, but so far nothing has worked, and I’m at my wits end. Any tips or hints that anyone knows that might help would be greatly appreciated! I’d sure hate to have to start diapering the boys!

The marking isn’t the only issue we’ve run into lately either. Lewy has started biting me, usually playful, but he has the very sharp Pomeranian teeth and often breaks the skin. Jack, being a Jack Russell, has gotten very protective of me, and has actually snapped at Ariana a few times, usually when he’s on my lap and she starts picking at me, or him. He’s quite the mama’s boy and seems to think he alone owns me.

But then they’ve also had some good changes. They no longer try to escape every time someone opens a door, they don’t mind at all being put in their kennels when we get company and rarely even bark at all. And Lewy even goes to Russ for attention now, something he’s never really done, although he does still tend to growl at any strange people, usually men, that come to the house.
