Yesterday we signed the closing papers on our home equity loan with our local bank, S & T Bank. Much thanks go out to Don S., of S & T Bank. We should have just gone to him in the first place instead of messing with mortgage brokers and what not. But we have learned our lesson now. (And according to our home owner’s insurance agent, she said she sees it happen quite often, where people go to out of state banks for “a better deal” but then end up going back locally because of problems like ours.)
Word of advice – Do your research on an financial institute before signing any documents!
But then we all must live and learn!
After signing the papers at the bank, Grammy and I did some shopping.
We ran into one of my parents neighbors and she informed me that my daughter, Ariana and her grandson, Stevie, are the talk of the school. They are both in kindergarten, and they ride the bus (van) together both morning and night. Judy told me that all the teachers and aides in at the school think that they are just the cutest, because they help each other out so much when they have to transfer from the big school bus to the van at the larger elementary school. Apparently, they hold hands when the cross the drive, and help each other with their backpacks and such. Ariana has been talking about him since the first week of school, now she calls him her best friend and wants to know if they can have a sleep over. Russ, of course, told her no that she can have Stevie over to play but that girls don’t have boys spend the night unless they’re married.
Well today, Ariana was quite upset when she got home from school. I guess her and Stevie got a little rowdy on the van and are no longer allowed to sit together. She’s heart-broken. She fears that she’ll never see him again because they can’t sit together (the van only holds 10 kids).
Oh, to have only the troubles of a kindergarten kid again!
On another note:
I updated our Construction photo album with pictures of the outside of our house. Just try to picture it with grass instead of dirt for the lawns… As someday we hope to have this!
I also added lots of pictures to our Price Family Snapshots, most of which Ariana, whom is having a love affair with the camera lately has taken all by herself. That would be why there are so many of her I guess. There are also pictures of our first fire in the fireplace at the house. Ariana would like to have a fire every night. She’s also taken a few new ones of our bad boys, Jack, Lewy and Woobie.
