This past week has gone much more smoothly than the previous few. Our tentative home equity line of credit approval is now a definite approval, and we’ll be closing at the beginning of this week. (And it’ll save us over $130,000 in the long run. Wow, what a break!) Yea! We’ll finally be officially allowed to live in our own house, we can’t wait!
The kids are still enjoying, or at least putting up with school. Ariana loves kindergarten, and is always happy to head off in the morning. She comes home every afternoon singing new songs, and telling me all about the new friends she making. Now if only she could remember their names, she seems to have a hard time with this, but then she usually can’t even remember my younger sister’s name, she a lot of time calls her “Jake’s mom”.
David claims to hate junior high, he hates the fact that every class he has is the advanced version, and says he gets way too much homework. Yet, we’ve only seen him do homework, here at home, a few times since he started school, and it’s usually science homework where he has to print out articles from the internet. (What kind of homework is that?) Yet, although he claims to hate it, he always seems a big eager to head out in the mornings. Of course that could be because he’s quite popular with the girls this year, according to some friends of ours who have a daughter his age. She tells them that she doesn’t like to go talk to him because he’s always surrounded by girls. He tells us it’s not true, but his face always gets a little red, and he can’t look you in the eyes as he says it.
So things are looking good for us, we’re all excited!

What a mess………..

All our love Jennifer
It is great Jen. Today we go in to sign the final paperwork at the bank, and the house is officially ours. I guess now I can say, we’ve actually been living here since the 13th, but now we’re legally allowed to live in it!
I think David likes school more than he lets on, as he never complains about going or what not, only complains about his classes.
Russ got your text, and had to ask me who it was from! He had a pretty happy birthday, he was living in his new house at the time. A house that we started trying for exactly five years ago on his birthday.
Hope everyone is doing great!
Love,
Haley
Good luck with your new house, im happy for you both. Happy belated anniversary and birthday Russ and Haley.
Mom
Thank you Mom!
We’re really thrilled that it has finally happened! Although I did get an email from the horrible mortgage broker company that tells us we’re not officially allowed to move in until Tuesday, when the check clears. I think if they had their way, we’d never get to live in the house, only pay for it!
But at least the ordeal is finally over, or at least will be on Tuesday when we finally get the keys to the house.
Love,
Haley
